Create a visual identity for tex.tracer

tex.tracer is a platform for a transparent fashion supply chain - enabling verification through Blockchain Technology. This platform gives customers insight into the product’s journey, from material source to retail. By scanning an on-garment QR code, tex.tracer shows them who made their clothes, how they are made, and what they are made of. This verified transparency builds brand trust and increases customer engagement.
Because this platform is all about giving insights where your clothes are coming from and about connecting one to another, I took my inspiration from the Kinetic art. This art form has always something that moves or has an element of motion. Kinetic art is all about connections, without one the other will not work. By connections, it forms a whole.
As a connection reference I used the location pin.
I placed dots on strategic places in the name tex.tracer. I want to make sure you where reading Tex Tracer instead of Text Racer. So I placed a dot between ‘tex’ and ‘tracer’. Then I placed a dot before the ’t’, because you there is a beginning to your journey and placed a dot after the ‘r’ this represents the end of the journey. This is a metaphor for when you connect (TRACE) all the dots, you will find out where your clothes are coming from.
The colours of the three dots represent the three values of tex.tracer: BLUE Transparency Supply chain traceability. YELLOW Social impact Safe work environment: Respectful and secure work environment and promotion of better wage system (BSCI, SEDEX). GREEN Environmental impact Climate positive: Reversing climate change lower carbon. Responsible material sourcing: Sustainable material mix; Efficient use of water, energy and chemicals; Circular fashion system.
