INSPIRATIONAL FLOW
My client Claudia Sanches is a well known wedding photographer. She recently started focussing on portraits, newborns, maternity and lifestyle photography. What makes her photography so beautiful is that she always use natural light. And because of the natural light her photos often look like paintings.
My inspiration came from Camera Obscura. It was the first simple ‘camera’, consisting of a box or even a darkened room with a small hole in it. The light that falls through the hole is depicted on the opposite wall. Upside down. You can also see the ‘camera obscura’ effect of light through small holes when sunlight falls through the canopy of a tree. These photos back than often look like paintings. Like the painting ‘Girl With a Pearl Earring’ from Johannes Vermeer.
I made a ’S’ of Sanches with the camera obscura in mind. You can turn it around and you still read the ’S’. I added a little bracket to make the ‘C’ of Claudia. I put this monogram in the middle of the entire name like the viewfinder of a digital camera.
I made various logos with the same monogram. So my client can use a specific logo for specific assignments.
For the graphic design of the gift voucher I also used the graphic lines of the viewfinder of the digital camera.
